I finally had a few minutes to search through my old email and finally found the blog link for Nadirah and Nathan (who we traveled in France with) and Nathan posted a video of the feeding of the hounds. I am putting a link to it here. Since TJ spent a lot of time explaining the incident, I thought the video was a nice touch.

Yes, we did actually see it. We only had photos (and TJ's description of the event in an earlier entry), but our friends took the video.
